Porthole

When we would see a circle in the trees, we would say it was porthole.  This was where faeries would come through, to play in our garden.  This porthole is in the forests of my childhood.  I'm not surprised as there are all kinds of faerie folk living in those woods.

I know--I have a GREAT imagination!

In fact, I just spotted a new porthole in my own garden the other day.  (grin)

Have a lovely weekend!

  1. I wish I had known you when I was a little girl. What fun we would have had, imagining all sorts of wonders. This is a lovely porthole, but did you know that knotholes in trees are magical doors to talking birds and animals? :)

  2. Lovely photo.

Imagination is a great gift and you are blessed to have this wonderful gift. Normally, as we grow up and become adults we lose our ability to imagine and become more mundane and practical. When my children were small I used to buy gifts for them at Christmas time and tell them Santa Claus gave them. They believed me. But when they grew up they understood that it it was I who was buying the gifts for them.

    Best wishes
