Heart on Shroom -Guest Heart Thursday
In our spare time between conference meetings, we knocked down a small dead fir tree and cut it up for firewood. Beneath the canopy of fir, I found this amazing mushroom--it was bigger than the palm of my hand! And yes, there's a heart to be found.

Plump Shroom Heart -Guest Heart Thursday
Sissy and I found this oddly shaped mushroom heart on our walk though the forests of our childhood. When we were small, I just assumed everyone had an entire forest, canyon and creek to play in. Now I realize our childhood world was rare and beautiful. Those woods are still there for now. I am grateful they are. It is a privilege to remember the beauty through my childhood eyes and see that rare loveliness as an adult.

Shroom Hearts - Guest Heart Thursday
On our way home from Spokane, Washington, in one of the parks we visited, we found these amazing heart-shaped mushrooms at the base of a tree. Not only did these naturally form heart shapes, but there is a near-perfect circle in the gathering of three mushrooms on the right.
