Rainbow Heart

It almost looks as though there was an angelic Cherub holding that glowing heart in her hands.  I thought it was quite beautiful, almost miraculous.  I was entranced by the rainbow colors edging that beautiful little sky heart.

Heavenly

Our precious Daddy is about to slip into heaven.  His beloved Savior will be there to welcome Dad into heaven--with open arms.  Somehow this beautiful photo reminds me of that beautiful place where he is headed.

I would appreciate your thoughts and prayers for my family during this time.

Circular Cloud

I am fascinated with the perfect circles one finds in sky.  There are circular rainbows, ice circles around the moon, and then there are circular clouds like this one.  I can imagine eddies of air swirling around to make a cloud such as this.

Just lovely.  Rather like a cloud baseball!

No Bigger Than a Berry -Guest Heart Thursday

This tiny hummer chitter-sings to me, talks to me--hangs in front of my nose, flashing his red throat at me, to get my attention.  Sometimes he seems so friendly I think he might land on my finger.  He is no bigger than the berries on the English Elderberry tree in my garden.  Do you see all the hearts in the berries?  What a darling little fellow.

Here is a closeup of my small friend.  He makes me smile.

Daddy Update:  Dad is in the VA Hospital.  He still can't speak or swallow.  He consented to a feeding tube, but pulled it out in the night.  Mom has been with him most of each day.  They sit and hold hands--he kisses her fingers and by this tells her he loves her.  I don't know how long Dad will be around--he's a grand old soldier and he is a fighter.  I would especially appreciate your prayers not only for Dad, but especially for Mom.  Also please pray for my darling Sissy--since I can't be there as much as I would normally--because of my husband's condition--there is a lot of additional stress for her.  Thank you so much.

Hubby Update:  My Beloved has cancer.  It is worse than we first thought.  He will be having surgery in early December.  His cancer is pervasive, so they'll need to remove the entire prostate.  They won't know, until surgery, if it has spread to other areas.  We are deeply thankful his surgeon's reputation is the best in the Pacific NW, USA, in robotics surgery. Please pray for my husband's peace of mind and that I will have strength to do what must be done to help him.  I am so grateful to you dear friends for your loving thoughts and prayers.

Pink Queen Anne's Lace - Guest Heart Thursday

Here is another photo of the pink heart-shaped Queen Anne's lace.  How I love that wild flower.  This one is so soft and pretty.

This week we learned that my husband has cancer.  Early next week we will be going to the doc to discover what our options will be.  This is a frightening time for us--yet we trust in God.  "'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.'" Jeremiah 29:11

God bless you all, dear ones.  Joy is not far away.

Glorious Pink Heart -Guest Heart Thursday

Here is a pink heart cloud I recently caught drifting over the back fence.  What a lovely sight to see on a day which was rather dreary.

Stormy Sun Heart -Guest Heart Thursday

This untouched photo was caught over the back fence last Spring, as a storm was approaching.  We haven't had any rain since early July.  This weekend there is an ocean of storms aimed right at the Pacific Northwest, with wave after wave of precipitation anticipated.  By Tuesday, we will have had over two inches of rain!

I have enjoyed this Indian Summer more than ever.  We haven't had one in over four years.  I am an Oregonian and I love the rain.  You've heard the joke, I'm sure, that Oregonians don't tan...they rust?  Well, it is true.  But after four years of truly soggy weather--I have enjoyed the sun more than I dare say.

As the storms approach, my husband and I have been weatherproofing our home like mad.  We live in a historical home.  It is a LOT of hard work to keep it up.  But well worth the effort.  Let the rains come!!

Have a lovely day, everyone!
