On a walk a few weeks ago, I came across this cute little heart in the sidewalk, just perfect for Guest Heart Thursday!

Sparkled Ocean Heart -Guest Heart Thursday

Here is another heart rock I found at the ocean last week.  This heart was bathing in a sunny depression of rock found along the edges of the cliffs of one of Oregon's jewels of the sea, Pacific City.

If you notice, not only is the rock in the shape of a heart--but there is a tiny heart on the rock itself.  Just perfect for Guest Heart Thursday!

Beach Hearts -Guest Heart Thursday

I always feel privileged when I find a heart such as this breaking through the smooth surface of the stone cliffs near the sea. I thought this one, which I spotted last week, was perfect for Guest Heart Thursday.

Here is where the surf pounds against the rocky tide pools beneath the shadow of Teacup Rock.  A closer look at the photo earlier today and I found another heart in the spray.  Can you see it?

Have a lovely day, and Happy Guest Heart Thursday!

Rock 'n Ocean -Guest Heart Thursday

Sweet sissy Clytie loves the ocean--so this one is for you, Honey!  Can you see the rock heart behind the surf's spray?  It took me a minute--but it is there.

"Oh come, let us sing to the Lord;
Let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!
Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving;
Let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!
For the Lord is a great God,
and a great King above all gods.
In his hand are the depths of the earth;
the heights of the mountains are his also.
The sea is his, for he made it,
And his hands formed the dry land."
~A Psalm of David
(Psalm 95:1-5)

Bright Necklaces -Guest Heart Thursday

My Husband and I went to a on  Tuesday.  We stepped out of the van, and were greeted by the brightly marked bird  you see above.  She was fanning her feathers and making a terrible fuss.

She acted like she'd broken her wing.  Then I realized we must be close to her nest.  Indeed we were.

We put up cones so no one else would bother this brave little mama bird.  There were a lot of people, and we thought for sure someone would make the same mistake we did.  When the conference was over, we removed the cones.  What a dear little killdeer!

Of course I found a heart nearby--can you find it?  Have a lovely day and Happy Guest Heart Thursday!

On Eagle's Wings -Guest Heart Thursday

 Our last day together was such great fun.  We walked down to the big park and threw rocks into the river.  My darling little niece is getting pretty good at skipping rocks--I'm getting a bit better with practice, too.  To the great delight of my tiny niece, I actually made one jump five times!

We were playing in the waters, when across the river we noticed....

A set of three birds--I was so excited when I realized it was a bald eagle.  The father, Mom and speckled young'un were there in full sight.  The osprey would dive bomb them every once in awhile, trying to chase them away.  It was pretty far away, so I didn't get that great of a picture.

If you click on this closeup--you can see there are hearts in the eagle's feathers.  We were SO amazed and happy to see this magnificent bird.

Then my darling niece insisted I take a picture of a "sorta" heart with a face.  Do you see the snails?  They're eyes.  And that rock heart face is smiling.  (grin)

Have a lovely day and Happy Guest Heart Thursday!
