Another Faery Porthole
This Fall I was out and about, when I spotted this little circle of leaves in the tree. Of course, this is a Faery porthole! At least that is what my children and I deduced over the years...in our tradition circles in trees or the skies, are where the fairy folk find their way into our back yard!
Here is a closeup of the porthole. It almost looks planned.
Have a lovely day, dear Friends.

Lamb in the Sky
If you look closely there is a lamb standing to the side, face on the left looking right at you!
There's also a nice squarish shape to the body. Rather whimsical!
Merry Christmas!

Porthole
When we would see a circle in the trees, we would say it was porthole. This was where faeries would come through, to play in our garden. This porthole is in the forests of my childhood. I'm not surprised as there are all kinds of faerie folk living in those woods.
I know--I have a GREAT imagination!
In fact, I just spotted a new porthole in my own garden the other day. (grin)
Have a lovely weekend!

Rectangle cloud
I love the straight lines of this cloud. It caught my eye over the back fence. My sister says it looks like a Borg ship in disguise! lol
Have a lovely day!

Check out my Inflammation
Last weekend my good Pal Kathy and I went to the Swan Island Dahlia Festival here in Oregon. We walked the fields and perused the displays. The variety and beauty of the flowers were amazing! And, yes, this Dahlia is actually called Inflammation. The name was so funny, I had to post it.
Above you see the incredible symmetry and detail of this flower. Even the honey bee finds this beauty worthy of attention.
There are all kinds of varied colors and shapes, as you can see from the photo above. Of course, the reason I posted this particular Dahlia was to be able to say, "Check out my Inflammation." Something about that statement hits my funny bone!
Have a lovely weekend.

Circle in the Sky
Here is a lovely circle cloud--I took this picture last Spring from my back yard. I am continually in awe of the workings of Nature.
The Creator must have had so much fun setting all of this up! Have a lovely week, Friends.

Green in Glory Light
As we waited for dusk to settle before fireworks on July 4th, the sun cast a golden glory light over the trees and river. This rich green color is exactly what we saw.
Most folks call beams of light streaming from the clouds, glory light. When I was a child, Mumsie added to that definition when she called this wonderful golden light, glory light.
We would run out to where the light landed on the trees and dance. In our eyes, we were covered with gold and were blessed with beauty when we did this. It was magical.
Ah, childhood.
Have a beautiful day! I hope you see some glory light.

An Angle on the Fourth
As we waited for fireworks on the banks of the river, this cloud formed overhead. It was astonishing to see such straight lines in the sky.
When night fell, the fireworks were spectacular!
It is hard to believe July is nearly over. Have a lovely summer, dear Friends.

Firey Designs
This is the design the warmth of the fire made on the glass of the fireplace. I thought it was beautiful. And so artistic--The Creator sure had fun when He made all the rules which govern this world. I will likely use this design in one of my art pieces.
Have a lovely weekend.

Rectangle Cloud
I took this photo a couple of years ago. Such an interesting cloud--it's straight sides are unique, especially on that angle in the sky.
Keep looking up, my Friends!

A is for Amazing
Walking through the forests of my childhood, I found the letter "A" in the trees. Not only is it amazing, but I was reminded of my beloved Alan, who is so very dear to my heart.
Have a lovely day, Friends. Never ever stop looking for the unexpected.

Reflective Angles
Last Spring I was walking across the bridge and saw this wonderful reflection. There are so many fascinating angles in this world--this is just one of them--a reflective angle which makes a triangle, or two.
It is so fun to spot such angles. This world can be a beautiful, intriguing place.
Have a lovely day.

Beach Sky Beauty
In January I visited Gleneden Beach in Oregon. The weather was glorious. Above is a triangle cloud I captured, lingering over the ocean.
It hung over the sea for the longest time. I stayed until the cloud turned into a fat little man who seemed to wave when I smiled at him.
